Module Aims:
⦁ To provide hands-on experience with PLC systems in industrial automation.
⦁ To cover both theoretical aspects and practical applications of PLCs, including programming in the TIA Portal.
⦁ To develop skills in designing, programming, and troubleshooting PLC-based control systems.
What Will You Study:
⦁ PLC Basics: Introduction to PLCs, their importance in automation, and basic components.
⦁ TIA Portal Programming: Learning the TIA Portal environment and programming basics.
⦁ Practical Applications: Real-world applications of PLCs in industry, including case studies and project work.
Module Assessment:
⦁ Continuous Assessment (Weighting 50%): Quizzes and practical assignments throughout the module.
⦁ 50% Final Project (Weighting 50%): A comprehensive project focusing on the design and implementation of a PLC-based solution for an industrial problem.
